     Sheriff Brooks, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of service in Walton County, highlighted the importance of transparency within the Sheriff’s Office. Noting the proven benefits of having SROs on campus—including instruction on legal matters, assistance with investigations, law enforcement presence, and traffic control—Brooks committed to working with school administrators and the community to secure an SRO for the school. He explained that the Walton County Sheriff’s Office already partners with the public school district to provide SROs and related support, and he expressed his determination to extend similar resources to Victory Baptist School.
