ACCPD Investigating Fatal Vehicle Crash

Press Release - ACCPD Investigating Fatal Vehicle CrashOn August 22, 2022, at approximately 9:00PM, ACCPD responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 29 Hwy N and Harve Mathis Road.Initial investigation indicates that a 2003 Ford Expedition was traveling west on Harve Mathis Road and attempted to cross US 29 Hwy N. A 2011 Ford F150 was traveling north on US 29 Hwy N and collided with the westbound Ford Expedition. The driver of the Ford Expedition, a 52-year-old male, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The Ford F150 was unoccupied upon officers’ arrival. ACCPD is still working to confirm the identity of the driver and/or passenger(s) of the Ford F150.The investigation is ongoing.
