Brianna Alvelo, a 22-year-old Marco's Pizza delivery driver, is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, armed home invasion, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. The victim, Melinda Irizarry, who was unknowingly pregnant at the time, was staying at a motel with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter when the attack took place.

Sequence of Events

1. Initial Delivery: Alvelo delivered a $33.10 pizza order to Irizarry's motel room. A dispute arose over change for a $50 bill, resulting in a $2 tip.
2. The Attack: Approximately an hour later, Alvelo allegedly returned with an unidentified male accomplice. They forced their way into the room, with the man brandishing a silver revolver.
3. Violent Assault: While the male suspect held Irizarry's boyfriend at gunpoint in the bathroom, Alvelo allegedly stabbed Irizarry 14 times in the chest, arms, legs, and abdomen.

Aftermath and Investigation

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office used security footage from the motel to identify Alvelo. The footage showed a red Toyota, matching Alvelo's vehicle, arriving at the motel twice – once for the delivery and later for the alleged attack.
