Loganville Healthcare Worker Arrested for Alleged Misconduct with Disabled Patient
A 19-year-old healthcare worker from Loganville, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with a felony after videos surfaced on social media allegedly showing her dancing inappropriately over a disabled patient. Lucrecia Kormassa Koiyan faces one count of exploitation of a disabled person, a serious charge that has sparked widespread outrage and concern within the community.
The Loganville Police Department was alerted to a viral video on January 23, 2025, which depicted a female healthcare worker, later identified as Koiyan, engaging in provocative dancing above a disabled person. The video, which was posted on TikTok, showed Koiyan wearing blue scrubs and a stethoscope while allegedly twerking on the head of a male patient who was seated in a chair.
Following an investigation, police executed a search warrant on January 28, 2025, at Koiyan's residence1. She was subsequently arrested and booked into the Walton County Jail. Loganville Police Chief M.D. Lowry expressed his disgust with the incident, stating, "When I watched it, disgusted is the only word I know. He is disabled, and then making the video and posting it to social media for your own benefit is the exploitation of that person."
Reports suggest that this may not be an isolated incident. Another video from the same account allegedly shows Koiyan twerking atop another male patient's head as he sits in a bathtub. Authorities are reviewing whether other victims may be involved, as they believe Koiyan worked in an in-home adult daycare program.
In response to the backlash, Koiyan posted a video defending her actions, claiming that the patient was "very aware and comfortable". She stated, "It's not what it looks like, trust and believe, angles play a part. A lot of people want to comment about sexual assault, rape, all type of dumb s**t. Trust and believe, he is verbal and I got proof."
Koiyan was initially held at the Walton County Jail but has since been released on bond. The case has sparked intense debate on social media, with many expressing shock and disappointment at the alleged behavior of a healthcare professional.
The Loganville Police Department has stated that the investigation is ongoing. They are urging anyone with additional information to come forward as they continue to review the full extent of the allegations against Koiyan. This case raises serious questions about patient care, professional conduct, and the use of social media in healthcare settings. As the legal process unfolds, it serves as a stark reminder of the trust placed in healthcare workers and the importance of maintaining ethical standards in patient care
