Loganville, GA - Victory Baptist School (VBS), a private Christian institution serving the Loganville area, continues to make its mark in the annual Georgia Association of Christian Schools (GACS) competitions. As a ministry of Victory Baptist Church, VBS has been a proud participant in both the GACS Fine Arts competitions and the Georgia Christian Athletic Association (GCAA) sports events.
Each year, VBS students from grades 4 through 12 participate in the GACS Fine Arts competitions, which include a variety of disciplines such as music, art, and drama. The competitions are designed to foster the development of God-given talents and provide opportunities for fellowship among students from different Christian schools. The elementary level focuses on adjudication rather than competition, emphasizing participation and personal growth, while junior and senior high levels offer more competitive environments where students can win medals for their achievements.
In recent years, VBS has seen significant success in these events, with students showcasing their talents and dedication to their craft. The school's commitment to nurturing artistic expression aligns with its mission to provide a well-rounded Christian education.
This year, Ms. Olivia Dyer earned a notable second-place award for her sculpture, and she is prominently featured in the center of the accompanying photo. Her achievement is a testament to her creativity and skill, and the school is proud to celebrate her success. Ms. Dyer's sculpture not only reflects her artistic talent but also represents the high level of craftsmanship and dedication that VBS students consistently demonstrate.
Additionally, Ms. Kylee Norman deserves special recognition for embodying the spirit of the competition. Although she did not place in the competition, her enthusiasm, perseverance, and commitment to her art exemplify the values that VBS strives to instill in its students. Her participation and positive attitude are a shining example of the school's mission to foster a supportive and encouraging environment where students can grow and flourish.
The school extends heartfelt congratulations to all winners and participants in the GACS competitions. Their hard work and successes are a reflection of the dedication and passion that define the VBS community. The school is proud of each student who participated, as every effort contributes to the rich tapestry of talent and character that makes VBS stand out.
Beyond fine arts, VBS is also an active member of the GCAA, participating in sports like football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more. The GCAA aims to promote Christian character through sports, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. VBS's involvement in these athletic programs helps students develop not only physical skills but also important life values such as perseverance and respect for others.
Founded in 1994 as Victory Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten, VBS has grown significantly over the years. It expanded to include elementary, middle, and high school grades, with its first senior class graduating in 2017. The school is fully accredited by Cognia (formerly SACS CASI) and the Georgia Association of Christian Schools (GACS), ensuring a high standard of education.
In 2018, VBS relocated to the former Loganville Middle School, providing students with state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, a gymnasium, and athletic fields. This move has enabled the school to enhance its academic and extracurricular programs, offering students a comprehensive educational experience.
Victory Baptist School's participation in GACS competitions reflects its commitment to providing students with opportunities to excel academically, artistically, and athletically. As the school continues to grow and thrive, its involvement in these events remains a cornerstone of its mission to educate and inspire future generations
