Four Winds Loganville Hosts Annual Golf Tournament to Support Vulnerable Families

On Thursday, April 24th, 2025, Four Winds Ministry Village in Loganville will host its annual golf tournament, an event that has become a cornerstone of community support for vulnerable families. This year marks a special occasion as David Greene, the former University of Georgia quarterback and SEC champion, returns as Master of Ceremonies for the 15th consecutive year.

Four Winds Ministry Village, formerly known as Ministry Village, was incorporated in November 2005. The organization was inspired by the model of community outreach services provided on the grounds of First Baptist Church of Leesburg, Florida. Over the years, Four Winds has developed a close relationship with local community support agencies, including the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), allowing it to offer a range of vital services to high-risk individuals and families in Walton and neighboring counties.

Four Winds is dedicated to providing essential services such as licensed Christian counseling, life skills training, family restoration programs, parenting and co-parenting classes, substance abuse counseling, crisis intervention, and support groups. In the past year, they have conducted over 2,000 child therapy sessions and 1,000 adult therapy sessions, aiding 28 adults in breaking the cycle of addiction and supporting 41 families referred by DFCS.

The annual golf tournament is a key fundraising event for Four Winds, with all proceeds directly supporting the ministry's operations. This event not only brings together local golf enthusiasts but also serves as a platform to raise awareness about the critical work being done by Four Winds. The tournament offers a unique opportunity for participants to contribute to the well-being of their community while enjoying a day of golf and camaraderie.

David Greene, renowned for his achievements as a quarterback at the University of Georgia, where he led the Bulldogs to an SEC championship in 2002, will once again serve as the Master of Ceremonies. His involvement underscores the community's commitment to supporting vulnerable families and highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in making a positive impact.

Registration for the tournament is now open, inviting both seasoned golfers and newcomers to participate in this meaningful event. By joining, participants will not only enjoy a day of golf but also contribute to the vital work of Four Winds Ministry Village.

The integration of community events like the Four Winds Loganville Annual Golf Tournament into the organization's broader mission underscores the importance of collective efforts in supporting vulnerable families. As Four Winds continues to innovate and expand its services, events like this tournament remind us of the power of community and faith in action.
