     The Walton County Fair is set to bring excitement and community spirit back to Monroe, Georgia, from Tuesday, April 15 through Saturday, April 19, 2025. Hosted at the American Legion Fairgrounds on E Church Street, this beloved annual event promises five days of family-friendly fun, entertainment, and a celebration of local heritage.

This year’s fair features a wide array of attractions and activities for attendees of all ages:

  • Midway Rides and Games: Thrilling carnival rides and classic fair games will be available every evening starting at 5 p.m., with Saturday offering extended hours beginning at 11 a.m.
  • Live Entertainment: Local musicians and performers will take the stage throughout the week.
  • Livestock Exhibits: Youth competitions showcasing cattle, poultry, rabbits, and more highlight Walton County’s agricultural roots.
  • Arts and Crafts: Explore booths featuring handmade goods from talented artisans.

     Wednesday night admission is free for students, while general admission costs $3 for ages 5–64. Children under five and seniors over 65 can attend for free. Unlimited ride hand stamps are also available for purchase.

     Since its inception in 1924, the Walton County Fair has been a cornerstone of community life. Organized by Walton County Fair Inc., a non-profit group run by volunteers, the event is dedicated to promoting agriculture, home arts, and local talent. It provides a platform for residents to showcase their skills and connect with neighbors while honoring Walton County’s cultural heritage.

     The fairgrounds will open daily at 5 p.m., except Saturday when gates open at 11 a.m. Parking is available on-site. Whether you’re coming for the rides, food, or exhibits, the Walton County Fair offers something for everyone.
