GSP Needs Your Help Regarding Hit and Run

On December 30th, 2024 at 7:27pm, Troopers were dispatched to a hit-and-run crash involving a passenger car and (2) pedestrians on Cohutta Varnell Road in Whitfield County. The crash investigation determined a 2014-2015 black Honda Accord was traveling south on Cohutta Varnell Road. Two 16 YOA males were riding skateboards southbound on Cohutta Varnell Road, near the shoulder of the roadway. The Honda Accord struck both males, and after impact, the driver of the Honda fled the crash scene. One of the juveniles was released from the scene with minor injuries. The other juvenile was transported to Erlanger Chattanooga via Life Force. Currently, the identity of the driver and location of the Honda Accord is unknown.
